Logo Design for Nailz
Nailz is a New Zealand nail salon business. I was commissioned to design a logo for the business that would also go on the staff’s clothing. The owner/client has tattoos but upon the request of her mother has never tattooed her hands. This was her rebellious loophole: having tattoos on the hands featuring in the logo. This made for quite a personal design.
Initial Sketches
The client had requested skull and floral imagery, as well as incorporating the various nail types. I tried out a variety of hand positions and tattoo variations.
